Math Genius Jnr app for iPhone and iPad

Prove and improve your numerical agility with Math Genius Junior, the new app from Walkthrough Publications.

It has the same functionality as its parent product Math Genius Senior but all the puzzles it generates can be solved in 2 calculations.

First, randomly select 6 numbers from the spin columns. Steady your nerves then race against the clock as it begins to countdown the time. Try to get as close as you can to the automatically generated target number using the 6 selected numbers.

You can add, subtract, multiply or divide any or all of the 6 numbers in your pursuit of the magic target number. Once you’ve added, subtracted, multiplied or divided two numbers together, you can also use the resulting number in your equation.

So you think this sounds easy? Well you ought to know that you can only use any instance of any number just ONCE.

Keep track of your scores to monitor your improvement. Once you get the hang of it increase the difficulty level. This ups the calculations required to reach the target number and/or changes the mix of the six numbers that you use to get to the target.

If it all gets too much then put yourself out of your misery by hitting the solution button to see you how it should’ve been done.

As well as brilliant mind melting numbers game, Math Genius Jnr can also be used as a puzzle solver. If you’ve been posed a similar puzzle by a third party (from a puzzle book or TV quiz), you can switch to Puzzle Solver mode and pretend to your friends that you indeed are a Math Genius. (This version only generates solutions that involve 2 calculations. The senior version does up to 5 calculations in arriving at the answer). In each case enter the 6 numbers and target number manually and Math Genius Jnr will present you with the solution out in seconds.
